The Rossendale Ladies' Choir was formed in 1977, and currently has around 40 members. Membership is made up of ladies from all age groups and all walks of life.
We meet every Wednesday evening and rehearse at Haslingden Baptist Church from 7.30 to 9.30pm to share a love of music. New members are made very welcome and please accept this invitation to come along to a rehearsal, sit in and listen or join in if you feel brave enough. Our repertoire ranges from music by classical composers to spirituals, folk songs, songs from shows and songs which have been composed or arranged specially for the choir by eminent musicians.
We give concerts on a paid basis and also to raise funds for charities and at times we get together with the Rossendale Male Voice Choir.
Singing is good for you!
You do not have to be able to read music. Don’t worry that you don’t know a ‘doh’ from a ‘soh’! You will be given lots of help, e.g. going over parts at rehearsals, getting a rehearsal CD, sitting beside experienced choir members etc.
We also have very good social evenings!
If you are interested, please contact the secretary (see contact page for details.)
